Responsible tourism
It is my strong belief that the future of Ethiopian tourism can be found only in sustainable and responsible tourism. That means that people can remain their culture and habits. And that nature and buildings – in particular churches –are preserved. |
I want to show my guests the real culture of the people. Not fake behavior that is ment to please tourists and get more income. For example some Mursi wear funny decorations on their head, just to create more colorful pictures. If people show fake behavior, their culture will disappear and there will be no more tourists coming to the Omo region anymore.
|
Responsible tourism also means that I share income with the local communities. When visiting a village, I hire a guide from the local guide association and pay for the visit. As a result, community houses have been built and common water taps installed.
|
That is why I put all my money, time, knowledge and efforts in the development of this kind of tourism.
I work with a team of well trained, safe drivers and local guides, who know how to serve international guests. |
